Registered Nurse - Outpatient Oncology/Infusion

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY

Start Date: 09-17-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, hours vary between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (options: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $6K Bi-Weekly

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional infusion therapy to patients in a comfortable outpatient setting
• Administer IV medications, chemotherapy, blood products, and biologic therapies
• Insert and maintain PICC lines and central venous access devices
• Educate patients and families on self-administration of medications and ongoing care
• Monitor patients during infusions and respond to any adverse reactions
• Perform therapeutic phlebotomies and iron infusions

Qualifications

• 2+ years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion (required)
• Chemotherapy Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) (required)
• Peripheral IV insertion experience (required)
• Port, fistula, and catheter experience (required)
• EPIC electronic health record experience (required)
• Current New York RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
• IV Certification highly preferred
• Previous traveler experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Must complete approved de-escalation training

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong background in outpatient oncology and infusion therapy
• Proficient in IV therapy, blood transfusion, and chemotherapy administration
• Skilled in PICC line insertion and central venous access device care
• Knowledgeable about specialty infusion medications for conditions like MS, RA, Crohn's, and anemia
• Excellent patient education and communication skills
• Comfortable using EPIC
