_*Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney *_
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented *Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney* (Associate) to join our growing legal team. This role is ideal for someone with experience, or a strong interest, in defending employers, insurance carriers, and self-insured employers in workers' compensation claims. The successful candidate will manage a caseload, handle all aspects of the litigation process, and provide exceptional legal representation to our clients.
*Key Responsibilities:*
· *Caseload Management:* Handle a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters from inception to resolution.
· *Legal Research & Drafting:* Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
· *Client Representation:* Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and mediations.
· *Client & Stakeholder Communication:* Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
· *Case Strategy Development:* Develop case strategies and provide timely updates to clients.
· *Court Appearances & Advocacy:* Attend court appearances and advocate for clients in administrative hearings and trials.
· *Regulatory Knowledge:* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
*Qualifications:*
· *Education:* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
· *Licensing:* Active bar license in California with good standing.
· *Experience:* Workers' compensation experience.
· *Skills:* Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
· *Communication:* Excellent communication and client service abilities.
· *Work Ethic:* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
· *Organizational Skills:* Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
