Providence Financial And Health Services is seeking a Translator to join our dedicated team in Tampa. As a Translator you will play a vital role in bridging language gaps across our medical practice operations. Working closely with physicians nurses administrative staff and patients you will help ensure that critical health information is communicated accurately compassionately and confidentially. Your work directly contributes to better patient experiences and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate verbal interpretation between patients and healthcare staff during appointments consultations and intake processes
• Translate written documents such as medical forms patient instructions consent forms and correspondence
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with patient privacy regulations at all times
• Facilitate clear communication between providers patients and their families
• Review and proofread translated materials for accuracy clarity and cultural appropriateness
• Assist front-desk and clinical teams with language support during patient interactions
• Maintain organized records of translated documents and interpretation sessions
• Clarify medical terminology for patients in an accessible and respectful manner
• Collaborate with team members to identify recurring language needs and improve communication workflows
• Participate in training sessions to stay current with medical terminology and best practices
• Support scheduling and coordination of interpretation services as needed

Requirements

• Fluency in English and at least one additional language with strong verbal and written communication skills in both
• Entry-level candidates welcome; prior translation or interpretation experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translation work
• Excellent listening speaking and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical practice environment
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Willingness to work on-site in Tampa on a full-time basis
• Basic familiarity with medical terminology is preferred
• Proficiency with common office software and digital communication tools is a plus
• Cultural sensitivity and a patient-centered mindset
