The Server provides table service to members and guests by taking food and beverage orders, delivering items promptly, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience.
Greet members and guests as they are seated; ensure tables are clean and properly set with utensils, napkins, and other necessities.
Distribute menus and present daily specials.
Answer questions regarding menu items.
Take food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen.
Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items promptly.
Ensure food is prepared correctly and to members’ satisfaction; return any incorrect or improperly prepared items to the kitchen.
Identify and communicate members’ or guests’ special dietary needs or requests to the kitchen staff.
Clear plates and reset tables as guests finish their meals.
Prepare checks and collect payments.
Assist with general restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area, restocking, and preparing silverware and condiments.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to take and deliver orders accurately.
Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Previous serving experience preferred.
Experience serving wine and liquor preferred.
Must obtain an Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) license from the Borough of Rumson.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Ability to lift, balance, and carry trays of food up to 25 lbs.
Must be available to work some Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Rate of Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience
