Key Responsibilities

1. Client-Facing EDI Architecture & Consulting

• Act as a senior EDI technical advisor for strategic and prospective clients.
• Run discovery workshops with client business and technical teams to understand applications, trading partners, integration patterns, and operational challenges.
• Assess existing EDI architecture and design scalable, maintainable EDI / B2B solutions.

2. Pre-Sales & Solutioning

• Partner with Sales and Account Management on new opportunities and account expansion.
• Join client discovery calls, technical workshops, RFP / RFI responses, and solution presentations.
• Convert client requirements into practical solutions, including architecture, technical approach, assumptions, dependencies, and implementation strategy.

3. EDI Modernization & Transformation

• Evaluate legacy EDI environments and opportunities for platform migration or consolidation.
• Design hybrid models that combine traditional EDI with API-based integration.

4. Delivery & Offshore Team Leadership

EDI Platforms

Deep experience with enterprise EDI environments, including Cleo (Integration Cloud / Harmony / VLTrader) and/or TLi / TrustedLink. Exposure to other platforms such as IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, OpenText / GXS, Seeburger, or Boomi is preferred. You do not need to be an expert in every platform, but you must be able to architect solutions across different technology landscapes.

EDI & Integration Knowledge

• Standards and formats: ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML / JSON, flat-file and proprietary formats.
• Connectivity: AS2, SFTP / FTP, VAN-based connectivity, APIs / REST-based integration.
• Delivery practices: trading partner onboarding, mapping and translation, acknowledgments, error handling, monitoring, and exception management.
• Integration of EDI platforms with ERP and business applications; experience with purchase orders, acknowledgments, invoices, ASNs, shipment, and inventory transactions.

Professional Experience

• Strong EDI architecture and solution-design background, with experience leading technical discovery workshops.
• Prior involvement in pre-sales, solutioning, architecture assessments, or consulting.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with distributed onshore-offshore delivery teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the United States approximately 40% of the time.
