Job Description

This entry-level purchasing role supports material procurement and supplier management for a diagnostics manufacturer. The Junior Buyer will process purchase orders, track deliveries, manage shortages, and collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely material availability for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Place and maintain raw material purchase orders based on planning requirements and MRP directives
• Track, confirm, and expedite supplier deliveries while escalating delays and supply risks
• Maintain shortage reporting and track expected delivery dates and recovery actions
• Support supplier onboarding and maintain accurate supplier information in systems
• Collaborate with planning, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to resolve material availability issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing
• Knowledge of purchase order management and supplier delivery processes
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
• ERP or SAP experience preferred

Compensation: $63,000–$83,000 base, plus bonus/incentive pay eligible
