About the Role Our firm is seeking an experienced Art Director on behalf of our client, a leading national retailer known for its expansive apparel and accessories offerings. This role supports item-level e-commerce photography, playing a key part in shaping how products are visually presented to guests across digital platforms. The ideal candidate brings a strong creative eye, retail production experience, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality imagery that reflects brand standards and category strategy.
Shift Information: Days onsite vary based on the shoot schedule.
Job Description As an Art Director, you will support a range of art direction projects for apparel and accessories item-level e-commerce photography. You'll work closely with photographers, stylists, producers, creative teams, and external partners to ensure imagery is consistent, on-brand, and aligned with business goals across multiple concurrent assignments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting art direction for apparel and accessories item-level e-commerce photography, ensuring imagery reflects brand standards, category strategies, and guest expectations.
- Partnering with photographers, stylists, producers, creative teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality imagery across photo productions.
- Managing multiple assignments simultaneously across brands and categories, ensuring creative consistency, timely execution, and alignment with business teams.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in art direction or a related creative field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in retail creative, with a focus on apparel and accessories e-commerce photography art direction and digital content.
- High taste level with strong creative judgment and awareness of current design, retail, and cultural trends.
- Ability to take direction, with a desire and ability to learn quickly.
- Open to feedback, with a proactive and action-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Collaborative team player with experience developing creative concepts and partnering with cross-functional teams to bring work through execution.
- Effective communicator and strategic storyteller, with the ability to build and present decks that connect creative solutions to business objectives.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working within high-volume retail e-commerce photography production environments.
- Experience with Miro or other collaborative tools.
